Little princesses...

Whitney: For my birthday I got a lot of fun dress-up clothes. I enjoy changing into new outfits all day long and much to mom's chagrin leaving the previous outfits strewn around the house. It's fun to pretend being a pretty princess or fairy. I also like to pretend to go in my magic pink and purple airplane to visit my friends.

Maren: I don't know about all this pretend stuff but I like to put on the pretty sparkly dresses. When Whitney leaves them on the floor close to me, I like to scoot over and dress myself up in them.

Happy Birthday to me!

Whitney: Well it's been a few weeks since the celebrations all happened but we finally have the pictures downloaded from the camera. I had a great time celebrating my third birthday! My Nana and Papa flew out from AZ to be here for a few days and I loved having them around. We also celebrated by having a play date in the park with some of my friends.

Dandelion bouquets....

Ahh, one of the simple pleasures of life! I love picking all the pretty yellow flowers out of the neighbors' yards. You, of course, don't find any in Daddy's pretty lawn but everywhere else there are plenty to pick.

Jamestowne...

Whitney: We went to Jamestown today with Grammy and Pops. This year is the 400th anniversary of the founding of the first English colony. Here's a couple pictures of me grinding corn, guarding the fort, and giving Pocahantas a hug.

Maren: All I have to say is it was sunny and HOT!

Smiles....

Maren: Mom says we should post a picture of my cute smile. I love to smile now and all the attention it gets me. I also have many great stories to tell, but nobody seems to quite understand them yet. Here's me and sister goofing around.

The other name....

Whitney: It's so confusing everybody has more than one name. I just can't keep them all straight especially when other people are calling them different names. Grammy=Dianne=Mom, Mom=Katie, etc. However, when I say "Jim" instead of "Daddy" he seems to respond sooner.

Not my mother's daughter...

Whitney: Mom has decided that I must not be her daughter since I love to dress-up so much. I've even started to thank Heavenly Father in my prayers for all my pretty dresses.

I even insisted on wearing the pictured outfit that I put together to church one Sunday. Watch out Hollywood, here I come!
