North Carolina...

Whitney: We went to North Carolina this weekend to see our friends the Terrells and for Mommy to do a triathlon. I thought the frog we found was a lot more fun to watch than Mommy doing her race. I especially had fun playing with the Terrell boys at their house and the cool pool we went to.

Who's to blame...

Whitney: I don't know about this little sister of mine. She is mighty sneaky. The other day she was scooting around the office on her back and got into the stack of printer paper. She pulled it out and spread it all over the office and then took off to explore elsewhere in the house. I came in and saw some paper on the floor so I grabbed my pencil and crayons and started to color and practice my letters. Well of course that is when Mom walks in and starts getting after me for making the mess. I quickly informed her that Maren made the big mess not me.

Maren: Ha, ha, sucker! Do you really think innocent little me would make such a mess?

Sisters...

How do people make it through life without a sister? ~Sara Corpening
I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.

The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend.

Busch Gardens....

Whitney: We got to go to Busch Gardens this last week with Uncle Arlen and his family. I was even big enough to go on some of the rides. I really liked going on the "slow" rides. We even got to see some animals while we were there. Maren liked petting the Budweiser horse.

Solid Food....

Maren: In the last few weeks Mom has started to give me some solid foods. Some are better than others and some of just gross (peas and green beans- notice the face!) The other day Mom and Whitney were having ice cream cones and weren't sharing. However Mom made the mistake of getting hers to close to me while feeding me something nasty like green beans so I stole it from her. I liked that much better than anything else I've had so far. I sure let Mom know I wasn't happy when she took the ice cream cone away. It was good while it lasted!

Swimming...

It's starting to get quite warm and humid here so we've been talking Mom into taking us to the beach and pool a lot lately. Here's some pictures of us cooling off and building a sand castle.

Cowbell Challenge...

We went on a little road trip to Charlotte, NC this weekend. Dad and Mom were riding in a 12 hour mountain bike race and we got to be the pit crew. Mainly we just rolled around in the dirt and rocks all day and would cheer on Dad and Mom when they would come in. It was a hot and humid day but we still had fun and Dad and Mom did well in their race.
